Located in the north central area of the island of Montreal the borough of Ahuntsic/Bordeaux/Cartierville forms an important region both geographically and politically. The territory has a lot of popular green spaces especially along the banks of the Rivière des Prairies (also called as the back river), as well as many parks throughout the area. Real estate in the district is diverse from luxury homes and condominiums on Gouin Boulevard following along the back river, to the slightly less opulent inland properties of homes, duplexes, condos and apartments.
